Our Approach

I usually conduct an evaluation that lasts from 1 to 4 sessions. During this time, we can both decide if I am the best person to provide the services you need to meet your treatment goals. If psychotherapy is begun, I will usually schedule one 45-minute session per week at a time we agree on, although some sessions may be longer or more frequent.

As a therapist, I tend to be interactive and proactive. While I believe that insight is very important, I focus on how therapy sessions can pragmatically change the individual’s life. Most importantly, the keystone of my practice includes respect for individual differences, belief systems, and personal culture.

People seeking psychologists are often struggling with troubles that arise in their lives. These troubles may be caused by painful relationships, work environments, family problems, health issues, or simply feeling stuck in an unsatisfactory life. These problems are stressful and individuals may experience worry, anxiety, sadness, or anger. When these problems or feelings start interfering with daily living, it is time to address them.
